    Personal dSRC

Personal site for an online gaming group.

dSRC are a small group of international people involved with an online racing community. We initially developed the site back in 2004 and it became a showpiece for data gathering and statistics. The game's developers make data available via the Web in binary format which we developed a PHP class to handle the core operations for. This script was released as open-source to the community and became widely used by many other teams.

The site displays information regarding the various team members, their gaming servers and news. It's also quite heavily integrated with their vBulletin forum enabling display of latest forum posts on all site pages, and a Team Member Control Panel allowing members to customise their profile. Access rights are shared with the forum database.

The site's been devloped using XHTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL and the Smarty templating engine.

Charity / Volunteer Group Ruislip Lido Railway

Voluntary site for a local Volunteer-run recreational facility.

The Ruislip Lido Railway is a local organisation that operates a minature train service for the public around the Ruislip Lido. The original site was quite plain and basic, so an offer was made to reconstruct their site into something more appealing. This was originally reworked in 2003 and has since had a major update and complete facelift in 2006.

The site contains an Admin Control Panel allowing the site manager(s) to control almost all aspects of the site, including ticket prices, a dynamic calendar for opening days / hours, moderated guestbook to help combat spam post issues, a custom, dynamic gallery and more.

We designed, developed and host this site for the RLR as a voluntary project.

The site's been developed using XHTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL and the Smarty templating engine. It also utilises ImageMagick for image manipulation for the gallery.
